Brethren as the 4th of July comes upon us again our annual participation in the Granville 4th of July parade is approaching as well. The parade will be on July 4th starting at 11:00am starting at wildwood park in Granville. Licking County Special Olympics will be joining us again this year along with the Moundbuilders Demolay and the Beth Scott memorial rainbow girls chapter. I encourage all brethren from the 19th district and their families to join us on the parade route. In years past there has been upwards of 10,000 people in attendance of this parade. This is a great opportunity to show the community what Freemasonry is all about and more importantly it supports our local Special Olympic athletes and Masonic youth groups.

A few important details if you plan on joining us the day of the parade.

1) If you intend on parking at wildwood park the Day of the parade you must be in by 10:00 am otherwise you will have to find a place to park in town which will be nearly impossible. After the parade is over we will loop back to the park to drop people off. 

2) I have plenty of parking available at my property on Welsh hills Rd in Granville if you choose to park there to avoid the crowd you can ride the float to and from this location on the day of the parade. Please be there no later then 9 am to head towards the parade route. The address is 509 Welsh hills Rd Granville Ohio. I will have the float sitting on the hillside and a sign in the yard directing where to park. 

3) This event is rain or shine so dress accordingly. Try to wear a shirt with a Masonic emblem or something patriotic and a comfortable pair of shoes. Also please bring an apron the day of the parade to wear along the parade route.
